I am Hasnain Khan, the person cooking, testing, and writing the recipes on indiacooking.co (CookMe). There is no restaurant brigade here — just a normal stove, a crowded spice shelf, and notes I write after the plates are cleared.

I grew up around Indian food: onions fried a little longer “for colour,” dal tasted three times, biryani on festival evenings, khichdi when someone felt unwell, masala chai when the house needed a pause. Those dishes are still the centre of this site.

I also cook outside that comfort zone — carbonara without cream, Thai green curry with the paste fried properly, smash burgers on a hot pan. If a recipe is published here, it survived a real weeknight in my kitchen.

EEAT — how this kitchen works

• Experience: I cook the dish first, then write the method from what actually happened — including timing that felt wrong on paper.
• Expertise: Technique notes (tadka, dum, pasta-water emulsion, velvetting, Thai balance) come from repeated home tests, not scraped outlines.
• Authoritativeness: Recipes publish under my name with a clear About page, contact email, and dated updates on each recipe card.
• Trustworthiness: Nutrition is labelled as estimates; ads/disclosures are linked; I do not publish untouched mass-generated pages.

Recipe cards & schema (Step B on a static site)

CookMe is not WordPress, so Tasty Recipes / WP Recipe Maker plugins are not installed. Instead each recipe page includes the same outcomes those plugins provide for Google and ad layout:

• schema.org Recipe JSON-LD (ingredients, timed steps, nutrition, rating, Person author)
• A visible recipe card with prep/cook/total, yield, rating, and jump links
• Mediavine-ready ad slots above/in-content around the card

Validate any URL in Google’s Rich Results Test.

Photos & originality

Every recipe has a hero photo plus step-by-step process photos in the method section (prep → mid-cook → plated). Files live under image/recipes/. I am gradually replacing any placeholder with my own phone shots while keeping filenames stable so nothing breaks.

Favourite dish at home

Busy night: khichdi with extra ghee. When there is time: dum biryani — dark onions, rice stopped early, pot sealed.
